We’re excited to partner with Land’s Sake Farm in Weston, MA, to bring you hands-on seasonal workshops that celebrate the rhythms of New England agriculture. From spring planting to fall harvests and winter crafts, Land’s Sake’s beautiful working farm provides the perfect backdrop to learn sustainable farming skills, explore nature, and connect with the land. Whether you’re digging in the soil, making farm-to-table snacks, or discovering local ecology, these workshops are ideal for curious learners and outdoor lovers alike. Workshop Dates & Topics
Maple Magic Cooking Workshop: Sunday, March 22nd 2026
Maple Magic! In this program we will explore the magical process of making maple syrup, from tree to pancakes. We will discuss our maple syrup making process, sample different types of syrup, and use it in a variety of recipes.
Participants will take home a 4 ounce jar of nut-free maple granola.
Salves & Balms Workshop – Sunday, May 10th 2026
Learn how to find healing herbs and what to do with them! In this workshop we will learn how to identify herbs with medicinal properties, harvest them, create oil infusions, and make our own salves and balms to take home.
Participants will take home three containers of freshly made salve as well as a bagful of herbs to use in the future.
Fresh Pasta & Pesto – Sunday July 19th 2026
Learn how to make a pasta dinner from scratch! We will work to make a simple (and delicious) pasta dough, adding in vegetables from the farm, as well as a fresh pesto. We will also discuss different pesto variations. Parts of this workshop will take place outside.
Participants will take home recipes and harvest enough basil to create a pesto at home.
Fresh Pasta & Tomato Sauce – Sunday September 13th 2026
Learn how to make a pasta dinner from scratch! We will work to make a simple (and delicious) pasta dough, adding in vegetables from the farm, as well as a fresh tomato sauce with herbs that we harvest ourselves.
Participants will take home recipes and tomatoes and herbs to create a sauce at home
Muffin Tin Pies – Sunday, November 8th 2026
Make a variety of seasonal pies with fresh produce! We will create mini hand pies in muffin tins, creating individualized deserts, learning secrets to flaky crust, decoration and delicious fillings.
Everyone will get 2 hand pies of various flavors to either eat then or take home, as well as a container of filling that will allow them to bake another 12 hand pies at home (or one full pie).
